The Amazing-Bargains.com newsletters have always been opt-in newsletters, but that doesn't matter. The CAN-SPAM law applies to all commercial emails, whether solicited or not.

Since the Amazing-Bargains.com newsletters featured coupons and bargains from dozens of merchants, it would be considered to be "sent" by all of those merchants. As a result, fresh suppression lists (opt-out email addresses) from all of those merchants would have to be merged and applied against the Amazing-Bargains.com email list for every single mailing. In addition, many merchants are now requiring every single newsletter to be reviewed before it is sent out.

With these new requirements, it is no longer feasible to generate a newsletter; request, receive, and process suppression lists from all merchants; and get approval from merchants. It is impossible to do all that, provide timely newsletters, and also keep the site up to date.

While we don't provide a newsletter any more, we've increased our commitment to making the site as comprehensive, current, and helpful as possible. If you check the main page regularly, you will keep up to date on the newest bargains, the most popular bargains, and the bargains that will be ending shortly. When you shop from a specific store, check the page for that store for any relevant coupons or bargains.
